Our Virtual Reality

Zainul Festival 2020 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, is an annual cultural celebration honoring the legacy of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin. During the COVID-19 period, the festival was presented in a hybrid format, combining limited physical observances with expanded digital programming to ensure safety while continuing its artistic and commemorative traditions. As part of the Faculty Exhibition, a virtual exhibition was developed in collaboration with ARTCON, bringing the showcase into an accessible digital space. The presentation featured works by prominent artists from the subcontinent alongside selected works by artists from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. This virtual initiative preserved the spirit of the festival during a time of global restriction, allowing audiences to engage with a diverse range of contemporary and historical practices while extending the reach of the exhibition beyond the physical venue.
